I strive through installation, video, performance, photography, movement and text to provoke thoughts and evoke emotions concentrated on aesthetics within political art.

Filipe Canha works on ideas such as post racism, post sexism, post civil rights and post human rights within political Performance Art, Live Art Performance and Video Art. Filipe Canha’s objectives in art production have been grounded in fracturing and provoking physical and psychological preconceptions on the human body. Filipe Canha has finished his MA studies in Visual Language of Performance at the University of Arts London in 2010, completed his BA in Performance at Akademy for Scenekunst in Norway and attended exchange studies in Choreography at Concordia University, Montreal, Canada.
