Direktorenhaus is celebrating young, Chinese art!

Warm invitation to the first European solo exhibition of the young, Chinese artist Lily Yu at Direktorenhaus Berlin

We’re proud to present Lily Yu, one of the few independent, female Chinese artists, with her new work series „Lost“, countering the “trendy”, rather provocative, artistic activities with a more subtle – and female - way of artistic reflection and social criticism.

Lily Yu is working intensively on the gender topic and the conflict between individual and collective identity. The results are extreme large-format paintings that, already by their size, have a fascinating effect on the viewer as well as by the mythic, ghostlike figures provoking an indefinable atmosphere.

On August the 19th, from 5p, Lily Yu will personally be present at Direktorenhaus Berlin for interviews among others. This also will be celebrated in combination with a wine tasting here at Direktorenhaus. You’re warmly invited to join us!
