ARTCONNECT BERLIN is collaborating with JOVOTO (http://www.jovoto.com) to help find people in these last three days (until the 11th of August) to submit ideas for their project "Art made by the crowd", where combining crowdsourcing (concept) and crowdfunding (finacing), we want to create a truly collaborative artwork!
Community chosen concept will go into funding phase. We believe we can raise up to EUR 3,000,- (for materials, transport, artist fee).
Submit your idea until the 11th of August!
Art: Made by the Crowd
Join us and co-create an artwork.
What's it for?
Can we create a true crowd-made artwork? Can 'art' be created collaboratively, funded collectively and enjoyed together?
To find out, jovoto (collaboration and crowdsourcing platform) and crwodfunding platform Starnext (http://www.startnext.de/) have initiated this project we call Art: Made by the Crowd.
In the 3 Week concept phase on jovoto (http://www.jovoto.com), you can submit concepts, give each other feedback, team up and improve your ideas. In the end we want to find the ONE concept rated highest by the community. During the 4 Weeks funding phase on Startnext, this concept will get help in producing a pitch video and we will put all our efforts into raising the necessary funds to make the concept become reality.
The goal is to present the artwork during Social Media Week in Berlin (http://socialmediaweek.org/berlin/), Sept. 19th - 23rd, so we will have 2 Weeks to set up and exhibit the work.
"Friend, Foe, Fan, Follower and everything in between. How is the internet changing the way we think about relationships and ‘the others’?"
This is the theme we want to explore. You are free to choose the medium in which you prefer to express yourself. It can be an installation, performance, technical interface or anything else.
You will have an exhibition space in Berlin for one week from Sept. 19th to 23rd.
Who can participate?
Everyone! You don't need to be an artist by profession. But you need a good concept, you should be sure you can pull it off! You can also participate by reviewing, rating and giving feedback to the proposed concepts.
To submit your concept, please sign up and read the briefing:
